Liz Ornitz is a New York-based video journalist, DP, editor and photographer who explores global issues in science, business, economics, culture and technology.

Liz has field- and studio-produced, directed, written, filmed and edited content for The Wall Street Journal, Cheddar, Fortune, Mic, Bustle Digital Group, More Perfect Union, BuzzFeed and Futurism, among others. Her Digiday-nominated Director of Photography work with Dove screened at Cannes, where the program won a Silver Lion. Her background includes journalism, documentary, digital and branded content, copyrighting, photography, marketing and social analytics. Her videos have garnered over 40 million views worldwide.

She has worked with brands and organizations such as Seventh Generation, Etsy, Unilever, GE, TD Bank, Dove, Sierra Club, 350.org and the NRDC. Her camera skills include drone cinematography and experience as a gaffer, grip and steadicam operator. She is an avid backpacker, skier and white water rafter. When she’s not in the field, you can find her wandering around the Met, exploring Prospect Park or hanging out with her very orange cat in Brooklyn.
